10/29

Today I wake up at 8:30am-9:00 at Grandma Sugai's house because we are going to the Swap meet. It would be my first time going since I've been here and what better time to go then with Reid and Cindy. We get to the Swap meet around 10:30am and it was fun to walk around. See all the crazy aloha shirts and souvenirs. I definitely have to come back here before I leave for home, tons of great things and great deals. While there we also met up with Lauren, Glen, Mike Nish and Eunice. They came a little later so we ran into them as we were making our round around the stadium. I didn't get much, just sunglasses and power bands. Reid got his halloween costume and so did Cindy. I was a little sad because I couldn't find a BOW TIE at the swap meet....c'mon people. ahha.

There were a ton of PowerBands all of the place...
Look at how cool some of the designs are.

After swap meet we were hungry, so we head to Asahi Grill for some Bomb.com oxtail soup. And dude, it was good. I haven't had oxtail since I've been out here, so it brought me back to the late night trips in Vegas during the ball tourney. I got oxtail with ramen, but sort of wished I just got oxtail because it was so yummy. Cindy killed her oxtail, but it was def. worth it.

No more oxtail for Cindy!

Ramen and oxtail...broth was delicious!

We were then on a mission to find the rest of the pieces to our Halloween costumes, I still needed a top, bottom, bow tie and shoes. So, we hit up Wal Mart! I found a collared shirt and some shoes, but I was really debating if I wanted to get either the plain white ones or some Fubu's HAha. Jk. I just thought it was hilarious that they still sold some Fubu's. I was sad though, they didn't have any little boy bow ties...but I guess people in Hawaii don't wear them.

Some plain VELCRO shoes...haha

Or should I rock the Fubu's? HAha

Things that I still needed for my costume: X=Got 'Em O=Still Need

X: Collared Shirt
X: White Shoes
O: Pants
O: Red Bow Tie

Obviously, I still need some important parts to complete my costume, so we then head to Ross. Cindy gets the rest of her costume and I find some bottoms. I get a grey skirt because I will be the girl version of Pee Wee. :) Success!! The only thing left is the bow tie, which Ross did not have.

It seemed like it was long day of walking around, so after Ross we go back to Grandma's house because there is a salvation army close by. Maybe they have bow ties there, but I guess they also have a fabric store across the street because my last option would be to make one. I found some red fabric and decided that I just had to make a bow tie. We also go to the salvation army, because its up the hill and Reid needs some short shorts. :) Since Reid and Cindy have a dinner to go to around 6:30 and we are pretty much pooped from running errands all day and we take a nap. I totally passed out on the couch watching Top chef.

Reid and Cindy go to dinner and Dev picks me up to go to Bo's. Dev had a test all day for work, which basically sucked for him. We go to Tamura's to pick up some poke then head to Bo's because they were watching a UFC fight. We basically chill there until Reid and Cindy were done with their dinner. We also had to convince Bo to go out, he was being a little weak sauce because he had to wake up early to go diving. BUT we totally convinced him and go back to Grandma's house to change into our costumes.

A Doctor, Lifeguard, Pee Wee and Dorky tourist

Whatcha' know about Pee Wee.

We started out going downtown, and it was nuts. Soo, many people dressed up and having a great time. I unfortunately do not have any pictures, only Reid and Cindy do. So, check out their Facebook pages. :) All I know is that it was definitely a GREAT time that night...Cindy and I danced the night away and I was stoked that some people came up to me and was like PEE WEE! Haha..def made my night. I guess I can now say I got a Halloween in Hawaii under my belt. :)
