The plane ride was good. They fed us this pretty nasty potato and egg breakfast burrito. I ate a little because I did get a little hungry but didn't want to waste too much stomach room knowing that my upcoming meals were going to be good ones. I stayed up for most of the trip and watched "The Help". Great movie, I was really happy that I missed the showing of "The Green Lantern". Once I got to Oahu I went to go to baggage claim. OMG, I walked to the wrong terminal. I asked this Hakujin lady where baggage claim B was and she said yes, walk downstairs. STUPID, definitely not where she told me to go. So I walked to the other side of the airport and was sweating by the time I found the right area. Good thing Erin called to tell me there were there. I had to bring Michelle's golf clubs along w/ my bag so I was worried about how I was going to carry everything. It was great seeing Michelle. A month is a really long time for us to be apart.
Our first stop was Hotel a la "Bo Hamasaki's" the best resort on the island. Bo met us there and got us situated. Once we unpacked a little we decided to grab a little bite to eat. I really wanted a cocktail, so we decided to head to "Side Street" and get some small dishes. We ended up ordering: garlic edamame, Chinese style sliders, and escargot. Everything was DELICIOUS!
After we got our edamame one of the workers came up to us and apologized for taking so long b/c i guess they were having problems in the kitchen. To tell you the truth we never even noticed. But for our patients they gave us poke and sashimi! SCORE!!
After cocktails we went back to Bo's to take a nap before going to dinner at eight. Dinner was at Yakiniku Hiroshi's in Waikiki. We ordered: salad, beef tongue, toro kalbi, and ribye. OMG soooo good and the meal melted in our mouths. The even gave us some of their special char shu. Everything was to die for.
After dinner we headed over to DnB's to celebrate Devin's little brothers girlfriends 21st. hahaha
We played a couple of games. Erin and I were good at the small basketball game and killed Michelle. We then decided to try the big basketball game and michelle redeemed herself by killing the two of us. SMH. The boys wanted to challenge us in shuffle board. The game too forever because the table was un even. Coming from behind the better team ended up winning. The GIRLS!!! We wanted to leave by eleven and ended up staying until 130. I guess thats what happens when you're having fun!
