ERIN is getting into town!! YAY!! I wake up at around 8:30 am because I thought I had to be up for more furniture to be delivered. The only thing was that I had to leave by 12 to pick up Erin because she was getting in at around 12:40. So, while I wait, I pack my bag for the week. The furniture never came, I guess heard Sophie wrong on when it was going to be delivered...

So, I head into town thinking that there would be a lot of traffic because of APEC, but I get close to airport with like 45 mins to kill. So, I basically mosey around until I have to pick her up. She gets in at like 12:30 and I finally pick her up at like 1:15 ish. We then go straight to Dev T house because we are going to get some OXTAIL soup....YUM! We leave Erin's luggage at Dev T's house and then head to Aiea Bowl to meet up 2 of Dev T's friends, Jeff and Jim? "5 Oxtail's please." And MAN do we destroy those plates, it was totally awesome, it comes with rice, ponzu sauce and ginger and cilantro. When the food gets there, we don't talk to each other. It was well worth it. I guess most local girls don't eat Oxtail soup, so they were amazed at how much Erin and I ate. :) We are fatty's and love it. haha. While eating they were saying how Ice Garden had the best shave ice on the island...so, I had to try it to compare for Ailana. I just had to do some research to see how our competition does it. :)

There were 2 little old ladies that ran the shop, which in all fairness, I think they beat us on that one. The flavors were good, you could put like custard, taro and some other diff types of toppings. The shave ice itself wasn't very big and semi sloppy, but I'll give it to them, Ice Garden was still pretty good. Especially since you don't want a huge amount after you just scarfed down some oxtail soup. I still think that our syrups are more unique and our plating is better too, but their pricing is cheap. We just have to raise our prices a bit because we are in Waikiki, that's our excuse. :)

After oxtail and shave ice, feeling super stuffed, we head back to Dev K's to drop off Erin's things, rest for a quick second and then go to Costco because we have to pick up somethings for dinner tonight. We got Salmon, broccoli, green beans and some poke. Since Erin was in town, Dev invited people over for dinner. We had crab stuffed salmon, broccoli, garlic green beans, poke and miso nasu. SOO bomb, but SOO much food. Neil, Kristy, Brooke, Halyin, Mady, Brad, Auntie, Uncle, Erin and I ate dinner. We thought more people were going to come over, so we had a lot of leftovers. Dev T, Lorin, Wendy and John came out later to cruise in the garage. We played poker and "initiated" Erin into the whole cruising lifestyle. haha. It was a chill first night, I hope Erin felt so too. Gotta get our rest because SISSY is coming into town tomorrow!! :D G'nite world.
